Description:
The time & date of each Solstice & Equinox varies slightly from year to year.
This is a simple .dba file that inserts the calculated times and dates for the following annual events (through 2009) into the NO TIME slot of your Palm calendar:
VERNAL EQUINOX
The date (near March 21 in the northern hemisphere) when night and day are nearly the same length.
The Vernal Equinox marks the beginning of Spring.
SUMMER SOLSTICE
"The longest day of the year"
The day of the year with the most daylight hours as determined by the times of sunrise & sunset.The Summer Solstice marks the beginning of Summer.
AUTUMNAL EQUINOX
The date (near September 23 in the northern hemisphere) when night and day are nearly the same length.
The Autumnal Equinox marks the beginning of Autumn (or Fall).
WINTER SOLSTICE
"The shortest day of the year"
The day of the year with the fewest daylight hours as determined by the times of sunrise & sunset.
The Winter Solstice marks the beginning of - you guessed it -Winter!
Each Event is folowed by the time that Solstice or Equinox occurs, (i.e. (00:00 UT) - Universal Time).
