Depletes battery faster when LED service light is turned on; as against normal battery consumption when LED service light is turned off. If you would have an improved software that allows the same feature while consuming less battery use.

Thanks! This is the app I am primarily looking for after purchased my Treo 680. It make me more convenient when the treo screen is off and I don't need to purposely turn the screen on to check my network availability.

Does exactly what our old 650's used to, only drawback is the battery drain. Perhaps Palm did away with it in light of the unfortunate and inferior battery life of the 680.
