Description:
ClipboardDoc is a fast (the fastest?) and easy (the easiest?) way to create a DOC file.
ClipboardDoc automatically turns the text on your system''s clipboard into a DOC file.
Could it be any easier?
Just "copy and click!" Copy the text you want and click the Create button on ClipboardDoc. That''s it! The status bar tells you the name of the file, from which you can determine the title that will appear in your DOC reader.
Could it be any faster?
No filenames to create, no titles to think of. ClipboardDoc does it automatically. ClipboardDoc saves your last settings, so you can just "copy and click."
ClipboardDoc is ideal for converting long articles on the web, or any text, to a DOC file you can install on most PDAs and other handheld devices.
Requirements: Java 2 Runtime Environment (JRE) v1.2 or higher (I do not recommend v1.4.0, but anything higher is fine)
Terms of use: ClipboardDoc is distributed under the terms of the GNU Lesser General Public License.
See the file license.txt, included with the distribution, for the details.
ClipboardDoc comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY.
This is free software, and you are welcome to redistribute it under certain conditions.

Great little application! Works very well (and FAST too), and since it's in Java it will probably work for our MAC friends as well. Kudos and thank you!

Extremely simple to use. Creates doc files for my Zire31 in a flash. Thank you!

This review is for Mac users. I tried it on my OS X 10.3.9 computer, and it works! There are a couple things to watch for, however. There is a button to select a folder, but the dialog box that opens is an "Open" dialog box, and it doesn't work. Secondly, the directory it chooses is the root directory of the hard drive, so if you are wondering where it put your doc file, that's where it is. Other than these two gotchas, it's a great little app that does what it says! How can you not recommend it?

WOW! This is great. Nothing fancy. Just copy what you want and ... it is ready to be HotSync'd with your PDA.

It took my maybe 10 minutes to figure it out but it worked as expected and I converted the monty python holy grail script to a format that works on my pda.
