Description:
This is a free dictionary for BDicty program.
This dictionary contains 67,000 main words translated from English to Vietnamese.
The database uses customized font which also supports pronunciation characters and therefore it is different from a regular Vietnamese language program.
Comes with a FREE Public version of BDicty.
Requires 1,988 KB for the lexicon + 15 Kb for BDicty.

Update Description:

Note:
It is not recommended to use Fonthack123 on Palm devices so, the customers will have to use it on their own risks.

I have a Sony Clie and here are the softwares I use:
1. Ants-XS.pbd font from "Alpha Font Collection v1.71" http://www.freewarepalm.com/fonts/fonts_collection.shtml
2. Fonthack123 v4.0c http://www.freewarepalm.com/fonts/fonts.shtml
3. Tealmaster http://www.tealpoint.com (The author said you can also use X-Master http://www.linkesoft.com or EVPlugBase http://www.palmgear.com )

Instruction to run on high resolution: After synching all the necessary files, I run Tealmaster and check the box on the left. Then click on the box with a + symbol. Under "Application" select "BDicty"; "Standard" select "Ants-XS (0); "HrStandard" select "Vietnamese Font (0). Then click "savexit" Two warning messages will appear, click "acknowledge" for both. Then click "reset" After the unit resets itself, click "reactivate".

Excellent program! and It is free! (wondered why?) RoadLingua charged money and did not work for V-E dictionary! I followed the instruction of Darkside posted on 4/27/02 and it is working great. Thank you all (Sunnyvale California).

aa7ou, thanks for the helpful websites for the fonts. I thought I clarify a few things.

Alternate low resolution instruction: To turn off hi resolution, click on "Pref" click on the pull-down menu on the upper right and choose "HiRes" Either uncheck "Enable HiRes Assist" or check both "Enable HiRes Assist" and "BDicty". Then click on "Tealmaster" check the box on the upper left and then the + symbol on the right. Under "Application" select "BDicty"; under "Standard" select "Vietnamese Font (0)" then "savexit", "reset", "reactivate"
Note: Font is smaller in HiRes than Low-Res. In either case, it is legible.

The font is little big for my sony Clie PEG-360. Have anyone known the smaller Vietnamese font?

I’m running OS 4 and this download needs the following: http://nntsoft.virtualave.net/engviebd.zip. FontHack123V2.2, HackMaster, vnfont. Then it is necessary to upgrade FontHack123 v2.2. You need v3.2 for the fonts to work with OS 4. Download v3.2 at http://www.sergem.net. Read how to install. You must uninstall V2.2 first. After you install FontHack123 V3.2 go to your HackMaster icon, hit the +, for apps “Bdicty”. Then chose Vietnamese font(0) for all labels. Click Save&Back, Acknowledge, make sure there is a check in the FontHack 123 box, click reset. Now it works!!!

The font for translation is missing. Useless!

The program can not display Vietnamese text, no phonetic signs also. Very bad!
