There are lots of programs similar to this one, and every one I have seen shares the same weaknesses-- the inability to import or export text or to beam text. As a teacher who has been using Palms to manage a classroom for the past 3 years, I can assure you that no one has the patience or time to enter so much text by hand. People are more likely to want to type it on a regular keyboard and use the program for quick lookups.
