Description:
AnimeTRON is a clone of the classic TRON game.
This early alpha version contains the basic functionality of the game. You play the red cycle against a CPU opponent, the blue cycle.
This game has been tested to work on these devices:
- Handspring Visor Prism (OS3.5)
- Palm Tungsten E (OS5.0+)
But should work on any device running at least Palm OS3.5+

An excellent idea, and a welcome sight for those of us old enough to remember the arcade classic, but does run fast. Memory card support would be very nice.

Great effort; works as advertised, but nearly unusable on a Tungsten T3 as the game runs much too fast to be playable (unless you underclock the PDA). Game speed shouldn't be linked to the speed of one's CPU.

The display is too dark and faint on a low resolution (m130) Palm. I won a few times but more by luck than design. The tiny streaking red dot is just barely more visible than the tiny streaking almost invisible blue dot. A game speed control setting might help this.

on my T3 - moves way too fast to be useful. Also, the software switches off on it's own sometimes. Could be interesting with a bit of work - might be better on a slower device

Whoa, what just happened? Besides being entirely too fast, the controls for left and right were backwards on my Zire 31. This could be overcome if the game gave you at least a chance to get your bearings before slamming you into the CPU. Winning was a fluke of luck, not skill. I used to be completely addicted to a version of this on my computer back in 1980-something and had hoped to replay that fun. No such luck. SLOW IT DOWN!!!!

I like the idea, it just ran way to fast on my T3. Tap the screen, go through countdown and then it crashes into the blue cycle before I can push a button.

Seems like a good idea, but it didn't seem to work on my Tungsten C. It seemed like was playing too fast and the button controls weren't working. It might be a conflict with another app or hack (I'm running quite a bit), but no joy here. :-(
