I give it 5 stars for what it is - FREEware! It's great fun and great for beginners. Sure North does some wacky bidding at times but that just adds to the challenge (I gotta sandbag alot to keep my computer buddy North from going nuts :-)) - I'd expect more from a conmputer AI perspective if I paid for it but if you play on Expert all the time, it keeps you on your toes well enough. Kudos to the developer! Poo on the silly, self-righteous, basher reviewers - write your own game!

This is a very well designed program and great fun to play. But I agree with a previous reviewer who criticised it for its tendency to lead aces in defence. This makes it too easy for human declarer in no trump contracts. Improving card play should be the most important goal for the developer.

Its wonderful to play bridge on your Palm. It is however somewhat of a shame that the program plays the game so poorly. The bidding is somewhat crummy; most notably, it passes in all kinds of forcing situations. The playing is also rather poor, as it has a habbit of leading (almost) every ace it has. What is great about that is that it allows me (as a below average bridge player) to win every time!

Great game, but sometimes biddings are very strange. For example,
As South, I hold
S:T52 H:9642 D:AQ94 C:AK
East bid 1C, I bid 1D, West bid 1H and N bid 5D, East doubled, and I had no choice other than pass. The hand North was holding to raise from 1 to 5 was:
S:8763 H:T53 D:KT8752 C:Void
Whatever way the play goes we will lose 3 tricks on hearts and 3 tricks on spades. Why did North raised to 5D with just a K in high cards, even though he has a void suit and 6 trumps?

It's really a treat to play this game. I am really hooked to it.

Great game and I play nearly everyday. If the bidding logic can be further improved, it will worth more than 5 *****!

I have become addicted to this simple to figure out bridge game. I just wish that I could the same hand from both offense and defense positions to improve my bridge skills.
