A nice program. Unlike one of the other reviewers, I wouldn't call it strong-- I find it beatable in a 13x13 game even if I give it a 9 stone handicap, but until someone ports a recent version of GnuGo to PalmOS this is likely the best free AI you'll play Go against on a Palm. One thing I noticed though is that it seems not to really do Japanese scoring, even when you have that option selected. I noticed this because at the end of one game it fell into a cyclic situation in one spot where the AI kept losing two stones for every one stone it captured (see below). When the scoring was done it was clear that the huge imbalance in the numbers of prisoners wasn't being counted.

Crashes on my Palm Z22, but I like the last game (Go 81), once the bugs are worked out of it, it would be a good game

It's a nice and a strong playing program, but it is crashing very much :(

It's a real shame standard resolution and greyscale devices are left out with this update. :((

Promising, but it caused my treo to crash after a short while. (had it on the memory card.)

I've used the low-res version of this game (Go81) before and enjoyed playing it once in a while, despite the not-so competent AI. The Hi-res is nice, but for some reason this version crashes on my Treo650 after the first few moves when the AI starts to think about each move.
