Description:
Why Would I Need kisKross?
- You develop crossword puzzles. You want to create a wordsquare and enter clues, whenever and wherever inspiration strikes.
- You want the 'mechanics' of the process to be as automated as possible so that you can concentrate on being creative.
- You want to change and delete clues, replace words, modify the symmetry of blacked out cells, and all of the other editing of a wordsquare, without having to read the manual or tapping innumerable menu items.
- You want to be able to upload the finished crossword puzzle to a spreadsheet on your PC and format it exactly the way you want it.
You need kisKross.
What Does It Look Like? Pictured is a completed wordsquare using kisKross. At the top is the name of the crossword.
Look at the first 'E' in EMBANKMENT (top row). There are small flags at the bottom and right side. These indicate that there is a down and an across clue connected with this cell.
When you have completed a wordsquare, such as the one above, kisKross will output a Memo file which contains all information needed to print the complete puzzle; Answer grid, Number grid, and Clues cross referenced to the Number grid.
