Description:
Stones is a simple logic game. Up to 4 players can play Stones, you can setup who will play (nobody, you, palm) for each player in New Game dialog.
The basic rule is to capture as many fields as possible. You capture enemy stones by jumping to the field near by the field where enemy stone is.
The move (jump) can be short (by 1 field) or long (by 2 fields - the original stone is removed). The game ends when there are no more free fields.
The final score of the player is counted as number of fields captured multiplied by number of opponents.
Update Description:
1/5/02 - Version 1.1:
- Supports hires (320x320) and color on Sony Clie models (610, 710, etc.).

I am playing this one on a m100 palm. Everything is cool but it manages to decalibrate the board area from time to time. It only happens with this game: when I return to all other functions everything works perfectly. Is this a bug or a way of forcing you perform an unwanted move? ;-)

This is a great filler activity for dull moments! The strategy is so damn subtle and challenging, it keeps me coming back to explore farther.

I like this game so much and play it a lot on my M100. But now I have upgraded to Acer S50 which use Palm HiDen API. So, could you please make a version for Palm HiDen (320x320) devices?

This game is fantastic fun! I played the hires version on my clie with 3 of my friends (four players in all) and we had a blast! It was particularly fun because we were in a bar, drinking beer and eating nachos while we played. I wrapped a napkin "bib" over the buttons and graffiti area while we played (folding the napkin under the unit). Well, that may be too much info and says nothing about the game itself but man I love multiplayer palm games. You don't need infrared or another palm. its fun to treat a palm like an electronic party board game.
