Description:
A simple screenshot utility; it drops PCX (and soon BMP) files right onto your expansion card (SD, CF, etc) in real time.

It works on all colour units that have an expansion slot, including the Tapwave Zodiac (most tools dont' work on the Zodiac).

ZGrab is nice if you're only needing to see the images on your desktop computer and don't mind that it includes the DIA. However, I much prefer the resonably priced QuickTake program, which saves the images directly in jpeg format, leaves out the DIA, and can be seen immediately in ALL my PDA photo apps. Like ZGrab you can use programs like CardReader or Card Export to transfer the images to the PC when needed. It can also be adjusted for quality of images needed, and it can take one screenshot after another without having to turn the device off. And it comes with several other great features. Hands down, QuickTake is (to me) the best screen capture program available to date.

I tried several times, but could not view the PCX images, so I'll just stick with Snap, another freeware screenshot program. It works great on my Zodiac and produces full 480x320 BMP images, easily viewed with Resco Explorer. Or for 320x320 images, ScreenDumpDA works great.

This worked exactly as advertised on my Tungsten T3. I did have to set the screen dimensions manually in order to get a proper image, though. The default settings produced an image file that was garbled, but only because the dimensions were not accurate. Paired with the excellent and inexpensive "Card Export" program from Softick, this works smoothly to deliver screenshots directly to applications running on my Windows XP desktop.

I had to use the unacceptable rating, since there was no "other" category. I have a Zire 31 running Palm OS 5.2, and when I use the screen capture, I get a Fatal Alert/Reset... but I've seen the screen captures and they're from the capability which I need... hope they find a cure... pab

Works on Clie NX60 with memory stick. Easy to use. I can transfer the picture file to my PC (Memory Stick Import function) and then use XNView or JPegger to view the picture (.pcx format). MS Paint will not be able to view it. I use XNView or Adobe Photodeluxe to convert the file to jpeg or gif. Image is good enough quality.
