The long time view of wicca being an evil an occult religiong bent on destroying people's lives through spells is not only supersticious, it's completely wrong for the most part. There ARE bad witches, just like there ARE bad Christians. People are people, it's not the religion that is at fault, not when the main theme is "'an it harm non, do what ye will." It's long past due that fundementalist Christians take a long, hard look at the hatred of other religions it's been teaching for so long.

The old testament exodis 22:18 reads,"Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live." Deuteronomy 18:10 says just about the same thing. There is no such thing as a "good witch" they all try to bring glory to themselves instead of giving it to God.

He misread the verse that he bases his entire argument on (1 Samuel 15:23) doesn't say "rebellion is witchcraft"; it says "rebellion is as the sin of divination [witchcraft]." In other words, rebellion is as bad as the sin of witchcraft, which was considered to be a very bad thing in ancient Israel. Read carefully!

NOTE: This article has NOTHING to do with Wicca. It happens to use the term "Witchcraft," but that is only as a retorical device.
Would have given this one star, but there is a point that I almost missed. The overall conclusion of the article is be a good person, and don't manipulate, intimidate or dominate other people. Also do not rebel against authority. I personally think a little revolution to be a healthy thing, but the other points I agree with. I would also point out that the fundamental belief in Wicca is "If it hurt none, do what thou wilt." Pretty much saying the same thing, in my view. Nice to know that the witches among us can be the most ardent of Christians!

I think people like to think that what there doing is witchcraft because they watch movies or surf the net and see stuff about friendly witches and think, oh that looks neat. Magic powers without any drawbacks. I'm an atheist myself, but still, I just cant shake the feeling that 99% of "witches" or posers. Thats just me.

I think her opinon on witchcraft didn't tell me anything and was nothing more than a piece of junk.

Anyone attempting to "access" spiritual power is practicing witchcraft and as such, is performing satanic activities. No gray area here.

VERY VERY WRONG!!! I'm a wiccan (witch) and it doesn't really state what witches are... it kinda sucks that there's a huge sterotype that witches are evil and worship the devil. I wear a necklace with a pentacal on it and just imagine the things people call me in school... well, if you want to know what witches really are, look around the web. Because this program is not the answer.

Although not intended for wiccans, the author has a firm grasp of Biblical witchcraft. Great that there is a section on being freed from witchcraft.

What a load of rubbish..Certainly not worth Hotsyncing. The author has no idea what a witch is, and makes the typically incorrect assumption that witches are anti-Christian, and go around casting evil spells. He needs to stop watching sitcoms. A load of b*ll*cks not worth reading.

A person has to allow him/herself to be manipulated or bullied. I'd hardly call that "a spell". Barring the threat of physical harm (meaning, in cases where the manipulation or bullying is done with words), they still have the freedom to say no to most of what you talk about in this doc. Authority, legitimate or illegitimate, can only be exercised if other people allow it.
