A great little program, however it lacks a number of features, specifically a zoom function and the ability to enter coordinates for your own maps within the palm environment. A shame the developer seems to have lost interest - release the source!!

I haven't even fully tested this thing yet and already it's the best. MAKING YOUR OWN maps is the only way to go because you can cut out huge amounts of worthless detail in areas you don't need. I have been putting bitmaps, scaled and edited, on my SD card and reading with a viewer that's draggable -- this program will augment that nicely. Great job. Stock maps are for the birds -- this is the way to go so you have the information you need, not someone else's needs. File size is also important, and this app wins there, too. Invest a little time making your own and you'll be much happier -- the "competition" would have you loading 8-12MB on your palm to look at a single street -- if you can fine it!!

It's a well written, fast and bug free program, the ability to handle unlimited map sizes is very good - I had 8Mb maps in it and no drop in speed. I created some maps and it worked well - but it really needs a zoom function to be useful and the documentation on how to creat maps is a little confusing (or it was to me anyhow!).

Carl, as you probably guessed, I'm not going to compete with existing map software. I wrote it in the first place because I wasn't satisfied with it, and then just thought it would interesting to provide the alternative. So, my target audience is exactly those who are not satisfied with other apps, and who would be willing to create their own maps.

A lot of work will need to be done if this is to go commercial. As it is now, it's pretty poor. Nice idea to be able to create your own maps but in all honesty, who will do this when there are so many free maps out there already done. Others, like IsMap (free) or TomTom (commercial) simply blow this out of the water.
