You can set up to 16 onscreen buttons as well as 6 hardware buttons to different applications, and you can set an unlimited number of categories that can switch each button's meaning.

If you set Blast Pad itself to one of the hardware application buttons, you can run your favorite applications with only two keystrokes!

Great app. I agree with Carlos, the only thing lacking is the option to auto start when turning the palm on. Hope you can add this feature to your next release.

The best Application launcher available, freeware or otherwise !! Six out of five stars. Large icons, no clutter, no fuss, maximum usefulness !!

Unlike more fancy launchers, and even the native Palm application launcher, Blast Pad requires a single tap on a program icon, to launch one of your favourite 4-16 programs. So linking it to a hardware button, it just takes the push of that button to turn your Palm on, and one screen tap only, and you have launched one of your 4 - 16 most used programs. Slightly better than the other must have launcher,

TopTwelve (also on this website, see index page) because Blast Pad allows you 16 programs ! I have allocated one hardware button to each of these 2 launchers. I have my favourite 16 general program icons on Blast Pad, and my 12 favourite time/date/clock applications on TopTwelve,. As stated, you just require pushing the associated hardware button, and one single screen tap, and you have launched a program from a total choice of up to (16 + 12 = 28 programs). The other 2 hardware buttons you can allocate to 2 other very useful programs used regularly (I use them to launch Address Book and Memo Pad, but of course the choice depends on what you use most commonly). This allows you a much faster way to launch your 30 most used programs than any other launcher (including the native Palm launcher, and including commercial launchers), especially when your Palm is initially switched off !! If I had a wish, I wish the programmer or someone equally as clever could produce a second Blast Pad like program, allowing another launcher with a different 16 programs, retaining the same clear, no clutter format !! (Please !!!)

I use it with Powerbutton Hack to start blast pad on every startup, then lauch my apps from there...exactly what I wanted..now I can start all my fave apps w/ 2 buttons.

This work great! I put it on my calculator button then put the calculator button on the screen. I wish it would have an option to auto start when turning the palm on. Asides from that I am able to put certain applications a side from the hard buttons at easy reach.
