Description:
CutPaste5 is a PalmOS 5 app which provides a 32K clipboard for cut, copy, and paste text operations.
This clipboard is in addition to the standard 1K PalmOS clipboard.
Instructions:
Copy: make a stroke from the Home/Applications circle to the Graffiti area or use the command toolbar button.
Cut: make a stroke from the Menu circle to the Graffiti area or use the command toolbar button.
Paste: make a stroke from the Favorite/Calculator circle to the Graffiti area or use the command toolbar button.
Notes:
Use at your own risk. It works for me on my Zire 71 but your milage may vary :)
Works only with fields or fields within tables.
Does not respect the editable flag.
The clipboard is not backed up during HotSync and will be cleared by a reset.
CutPaste5 will need to be manually launched (one time only) if the app was copied from the expansion card.
CutPaste5 only works for PalmOS 5
Tungsten T3 is supported only in portrait mode.

Version 3.1 (4/4/2004):

Version 3.0 (1/5/2004):
Added support for multiple clipboard buffers with two new operations. (i) Display current clipboard (silkscreen stroke Find to Graffiti). Only the first few characters of the clipboard are displayed. (ii) Switch clipboards (silkscreen stroke Favorite/ Calc to Find). This switches to the next sequential clipboard. Three 32k clipboards are currently supported.
Command toolbar buttons for cut, copy, and paste are now context sensitive (they only appear if that function is actually available). Previously these buttons would always appear.
Fixed Tungsten T3 silkscreen activation (portrait only). Uses the traditional button virtual characters regardless of any remapping of the virtual silkscreen buttons.
Removed the restriction of only displaying messages when the active form is not a menu, popup list, or dialog box. Now messages may be displayed at almost any time.
Disabled cutting and pasting while a menu is active. This prevents the UI from being improperly updated when the text field changes under an active menu.
Fixed a bug where the first stroke or tap after an error dialog was ignored.
Fixed a bug where the input focus was lost if the active field was in a table.
UI and help description changes.
Version 2.0 (10/23/2003):
Added command toolbar support using the system cut, copy, and paste icons. This is to support devices without a silkscreen area.
Added preferences form with checkboxes to disable each stroke, command bar, and some common warnings.
Fixed a bug where CutPaste5 could be repeatedly called which would eventually cause a system crash.
Version 1.1 (9/17/2003):
Added support for different silkscreen layouts.
Changed the results display to save and restore the old window bits in an offscreen window instead of redrawing the entire screen. This gets rid of the screen blinking and helps some apps that do not properly redraw their forms.
Added support for dual applications, menu and favorite silkscreen areas. This is for devices that have multiple silkscreen buttons while using soft Graffiti.
Fixed a bug where the Graffiti shift state was not getting properly restored.

I though it wasn't working on my TX but it turns out that the context menu (drawing an slash on the writing box) shows TWO copy icons. The 1st one if for cutpaste5. If you use the menu, it only shows the old cut, with the 4k limit. Good application.

That "tiny" clipboard on my Palm Tungsten C was giving me fits. I couldn't even copy complete emails to my memopad! Cutpaste 5 is wonderful. It works perfectly. On a Tungsten C, press the menu button to activate. Thank you for a great pref!

Mark: your software is spotless!!! It works beutifully on my Tungsten E. I must congratulate you on a great program. I use a lot of large memos and must move them to other applications. Without your program, I was forced to perform the same operation over and over again. No problems running it on a Zire71 all day long. It's very useful in a variety of situations and more readily accesible than the drop-down copy/ paste option. I definitely recommend it.
