Thank GOD this was made. this one time, I was travelling caverns (as I do on weekends) and I found treasure. I picked up the bag and shortly after, rocks fell and sealed my exit!! I used the SOS mode and it shone through the solid rock so brightly a passing plane called for help and a league of paramedics freed me. This app saved my life!

I frequently used my palm as a flashlight. My Zire 71 is bright enough to guide me through dark rooms in my house (I also use my watch but with less effectiveness). Now there is a program that validates that function! Truely it is a bit superfluous as any menu screen is bright enough to do the job, but the SOS could be very handy for getting someone's attention.

During a major power failure in my town and no lights and it was total blackout and it was so dark and had no flash light, but I had my Palm and I turned on the Flash-Lamp program and I could see again!! Thanks for a cool program its not a bright light But it saved me. Thanks.

Well as much as I'd like Palms to take over everything we normally use other things for... This is pointless. All palms and palm-compatibles can't possibly be seen more than a few feet. At that distance you might as well just say what you want. I'm also worried about the 'SOS' feature. If you ever needed to use it you would probably be MUCH further than a few feet. In fact, some people may (hopefully not, but still) be lulled into a false sense of security by this.
