You can easily create new tabs or transfer an application to another tab, delete or beam an application - all that by simply dragging its icon.

With Launcher III, you can view, open, delete or beam Palm VII PQA applications, DOC files and HackMaster hacks, or any other launchable databases (if appropriate application is installed).

What on earth is this doing as an update? This is the last freeware version of Launcher III, but it hasn't been updated in years, and the author died in an auto accident a couple of years ago. The successor product is LauncherX, from www.launcherx.com, now owned and maintained by GoTreo Software. If you still have an old Palm device running OS3.X or 4, Launcher III is wonderful. If you have a newer OS5 device, you really want LauncherX.

I have always liked this product, but now that I have moved it to my Treo 90, I have an issue: can LIII be made to recognize the SD card? The default Palm Applications program sees the card, but I can't find a way to get Launcher to see it.

Too bad; you might have to spend some money on another product to find out how great this free one is. It's tops--even after all this time: small footprint, as simple or complex as you want it to be and as functional as the big commercial programs you'll have to spend money for--with cleaner lines and an intuitive interface.

What an awesome launcher! It is very easy to use, very intuitive to set up. The "Gadgets" are fantastic (I wish there were more) and allow MUCH easier operation of some previously cumbersome function (info, delete, beam, etc). It is much faster to navigate via the "tabs". Thank you, thank you, thank you for what has to be the best freeware prog out there.

I use this as my default launcher, and it's so much easier to use. You can drag and drop files just like in windows, and I can finally delete the files that I couldn't delete with the previous launcher. I highly recommend!

I always used Handscape from MobiMate(paid for it too...). But it was producing some undesireable effects on my Treo (keyboard model) and runs very slow. Have installed Launcher III on Treo(k) PalmOS3.5.2H4.0 and works fine. Also installed on Vx PalmOS3.5.0 and runs fine. Nice to see an App that does exactly what it claims to do. Keep up the good work (more gadgets on the screen a possibility?)

Many of you have written in complaining of the ads and poor performance. I have been in contact with the Author and he has corrected many of the issues that you guys have submitted. Also, with version 2.2, the ads have been removed, 16 greyscale an option, not forced, and the speed is bacj up with 1.5.2. I strongly urge everyone to go out to www.benc.hr, hold in your shift key and press reload/refresh to make sure you don't have a cached copy of the webpage, re-download Launcher III and re-install it. I guarantee you'll be impresses. Then I command you to send and email to the author telling what you think of his program. He's a great guy!

I have loved 1.5.2 for years. I was disappointed with 2.0, ads and speed. Forget every review about 2.0. This newest version has taken off where 1.5.2 ended. This is my favorite Palm app, at any price.

DO NOT use this program on a Visor. You tap at the outermost edge of the graffiti screen to activate the menu. This means that you can't adjust the LCD contrast, because when you attempt to tap the icon for adjusting the contrast, you activate the launcher menu. I also had to hard-reset because for some reason I couldn't remove it from my handheld. The program also caused hot-sync problems. I got a serial "serial port busy" error message when I tried to sync. When I tapped on the calculator pop-up to move it, my handheld locked-up. My advice would be, "STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROGRAM!!!!!"

Also very much annoyed at the ads... However, even more disappointing is that on the whole, the changes are not entirely useful, and it does run slower than 1.5.2.... what I liked about this app is that it is (was) much faster than the other app launchers. So I am also back with 1.5.2, even if the ads are removed.

Launcher III is excellent. But the banner ads that now appear onscreen in v2.0 every time you use it (which is every day, all the time) are unacceptable. I'm going back to the previous version till the ads are eliminated. Sets an ugly precedent: are we supposed to accept annoying screen-space-wasting banner ads on our Palms with every app we use from now on? Whether free or paid, this is a BAD trend. When the banner ads are eliminated, I'll try v2.0 again. Otherwise, a terrific company, with excellent software -- and a marketing "genius" apparently intent on shooting him/her-self (and us) in the foot every time we power-up with the annoying "new" Launcher III.

This is a great program, with features far beyond the built in browser. The tabs are easy to navigate and organize, the gadgets are very convenient, and I like being able to open DOC files with a tap. That having been said, I do not at all like the ads. I realize the author has put a great deal of work into the program, and I don't begrudge him being paid for his time, but there should then be a registration option to turn off the ads. I would much rather pay then look at ads every time I switch tabs. I deleted this program as soon as I realized I couldn't turn them off. It's a great program, and I'd happily pay for it, but its not worth turning my palm into a billboard.

I'd like to give this a better rating - it seems to be an improvement on the last version & runs well on my Vx -BUT- the LOGO advertising that takes up 1/3 of the screen on some tabs is very objectionable in my opinion. I'd gladly pay to register this app - IF it would get rid of the stupid advertising. This is s first-rate app EXCEPT for that crucial flaw. I can't endorse it until the "banner" is removed.

I've always used Launcher III to start-up my apps and have found it very useful. This new version is just as useful, however it's a little slower and the adverts are a little annoying. Apart from that the new version supports greyscale/colour, the tabs are more configurable and there are a few extra gadgets, and it’s free! I still recommend it!
