PXA Clocker is an unique system frequency management application for Intel XScale based PalmOS5/ARM devices.
Boost application performance by increasing processor frequency (overclocking up to 230% on some models).
Save battery power by lowering frequency or turning off clocking for unused peripheral devices.
PXA Clocker provides support for 'shortcut' applications that run main program from extension card.
Programs on memory cards are also supported. HiRes+ is available on PalmOne devices.

The latest update affects Pro version only. Current PXA Clocker Lite version is 4.3. PXA Clocker Lite will be updated later.

Well, surely it works, but I found pretty unstable on my Zire 31. Made it crash, even following a prudent overclocking guideline. I managed to overclock it to 233Mhz, and it worked, but when I came back to undo the overclock the Palm crashed with a black screen and a orange line, with no response to any form of reset. I had to wait the battery get discharged completely, but when it turned on, some ugly multicolor stripes started to appear. They wore off partially after some time, but there's still some damage. I'll give it the benefit of the doubt, because I'm not really sure if it was this, I had some active hacks on it, but since I uninstalled it, haven't happened something similar, and I could have overclock the Palm with similar software sucessfully.

Note that Treo 650 seems to max out at 468mhz, but your mileage may vary. Awesome app, I'll be registering next time a few spare bucks show up.

A excellent program. Speeds up all applications on my Treo 650. A necessity if you want to run Super Nintendo or Genesis roms using Little John Palm at full speed.

Very good program, just not as useful for me. I used a previous version to underclock my Tungsten C to 200 MHz and even 100 MHz, hoping to increase battery life. While the performance hit was very evident (as expected), the battery life increased less than 10%, hovering just above the usual 10 hours. In the end, it was not worth it. I suspect the power saving features of Intel XScale CPUs already do a lot of clock adjustments on-the-fly even at stock speed, so that the power comsumption differences between 400 MHz and 200 MHz are limited to short occasional CPU activity bursts. I don't know if this applies to other ARM processors, though.

Very good program. I have a zire 72, and the program works perfectly. I had my 312 mhz running at 416, and had no problems. All i can say is don't go for the gig. Mine crashed. :-(

Excellent app. Just a note for T3 and TC users: Do NOT overclock over 600 Mhz (crashes your palm and you'll have to wait until your battery is completely depleted. And for TC users only: Do NOT underclock for less than 100 Mhz. keep those guidelines and you'll be fine.
