- IMPROVE: The trigger list in "Button Settings" now supports incremental search, so you can quickly locate an trigger by writing characters matching the first few characters of it.
- ADD: There is "(Global)" category in "Button Settings" now, you can turn to it from top-right category drop-down list. Every action for hard buttons you set in this "(Global)" category have global effect which means if a hard button does not have action in a category but have action in "(Global)", when you press it in that category, the action in "(Global)" will be triggered. Pros: Finally a piece of freeware thats compatible with the TX's 320*480 screen AND can map over its Home Button! and oh yes i forgot one more thing ITS FREE. Cons: to similer to the built in launcher, wish you could have a background image and there's a nifty feature in other launchers that interfaces with pocket tunes to play open MP3's right fro within the launcher

After a couple of months' use, I'm still impressed. It looks good. It's fast. It can map itself to the Palm T|X's first hard button (not all launchers can). Setting it up is still a bear at times, as is rearranging the buttons when you want to insert one in a particular place.
My wish list would include:
- The ability to drag and drop the on-screen buttons as desired;
- A macro to automatically map each program to a button (perhaps in multiple categories) ... then allowing the drag-and-drop rearrangement mentioned above.
- Simplified configuration screens.
- The ability to have a background image, a la Favorites or Calendar in Palm OS 5.4 (though that's just a cosmetic thing).
But, bottom line, it's free, it's fast, and it's just plain useful -- and thank you very much to the developer.

After some really wacky setup routines (with some logical inconsistencies between screens -- e.g., two ways to set actions on hard buttons) ... you end up with a pretty nice looking launcher. Be sure to explore this one for awhile. It's deep (as well as weird).

Fastest Launcher I've ever seen! WOW! Email support is top notch. Setup could be easier, but don't change it at the expense of runtime speed.

Excellent, dead stable and not a hack. After having used hackmaster and various hacks for launching and the induced instability I decided my new machine (Zire72) would use no hacks (or OS5 equivelents) being a stand alone program it is of course stable. The set up process can be a bit tedious with the wealth of options but well worth the effort. I strongly recommend this as the best launcher you will ever use. 10 stars **********..

A really good and fast launcher. Once the setup is done manually, it runs great. Would have given this an excellent rating instead of good as it has a small flaw. If the Treo 5-way select button is used, it seems to be triggered twice - once to launch the app and another time within the app. Works fine with most apps, but those which have a function triggered by the press of the 5-way select will have that function activated too - which is sometimes not desirable. Anway, great work and kudos to Kun Liu.

Fantastic!!!I use it every time,every day.The only thing I would like to see is the ability to launch from the card as in 5Nav Launcher.I use both but 5Nav has tiny buttons not good for my big thumb and I prefer the Screen buttons set up to the scroll through of 5 Nav.A big thanks to you and all the very generous authors of these wonderful freewares.

I'd like to point out that it gives you the option of putting as many buttons on a screen as you like. I've found on my M130, that going any higher than 4x4 buttons on the screen results in some icons not showing up due to size, although the name is still there. In summery, this launcher pisses all over the default launcher, top notch. Kinda a bitch to set up the buttons, but the functionality(?) far outweighs this inconvienence.

This is my 2nd attempt at a GOOD REVIEW of this product. I use it in conjunction with another app I have loved for years - and combined they are fantastic -- but standing alone, this will save you lots of time. Functions perfectly on the T3 - remember to keep one button free on one menu to be able to mump to another complete menu - with 12 more apps!! This is the best software I've seen in a long time at ANY price and I recommend it wholeheartedly.

As with the launcher Blast Pad, also available on Freewarepalm, Screen Button allows a very quick/efficient way to very quickly launch your favourite programs. Assign this program to one of the Palm buttons (eg Memo Pad), through "Preferences", and you can turn on your Palm at any time with that Palm button, and have your favourite programs ready for launching. I've never liked the built in launcher, and prefer Blast Pad (launches your favourite 9 programs), and Top Twelve (launches your favourite 12 programs), both on this website. This is a marvellous improvement on Blast Pad, extending its capability greatly !. The developer has added the ability to have categories as well !! Since you can now add your own categories, many more than 9 applications can be launched with this launcher.
This is a program launcher from heaven, its free, uncomplicated, small file size. It works so far without problems on my SJ33 (OS 4), but indications are it is for OS4-5 only. I've said an alternative to Blast Pad was worthwhile, and this blows the socks of it. It would be nice if it had 12 not 9 programs on the screen, but the ability to add categories makes up to some extent for this deficiency. One small improvement: we dont need the text "OSB1, OSB2" on the launcher screen, just have the application names. The manual is a little small, the program seems to have many more options than are explained.I give this program six stars...the life of many Palm OS3-4 users just got even easier !
