Description:
This Palm OS extension teaches the well known applications new tricks, it can be invoked in any application using the system "Send" command, i.e. most built-in applications and a lot of third party utility software.
Sending data to application seems pointless - why would anyone send the data to himself? First of all, the sender does not have to be the same application as the receiver.
The most common example is the file manager reading the card and transferring data to other applications. As a result, it gives you the reverse of "Send to Card", i.e. a way to restore your backups or read the data saved by another device - not necesserily the palm.
For example you can:
Install ringtones by sending *.mid or *.amr files to "Sounds" application
Read text files in Memos
Import photos into Media (to name only the built-in applications).
Sometimes sending the data from the application other than file manager is also useful, for example:
Sending a Memo (Contact, ToDo item, Calendar event) to the same application duplicates the item
You have more than one application that could handle the same file, eg. the built-in Media and Resco Viewer
And of course it is useful for testing your own software, too.

Great program! I edit html files with CardTXT on my card. Send_to_Application allows me to send the file directly from CardTXT to Web Pro. Thanks.

Seems like a great piece of software but your link won't allow it to be downloaded. Please check.
