Description:
This Palm OS extensions teaches the well known applications new tricks, it can be invoked using the system "Send" command (in applications that support it, i.e. most built-in applications and a lot of third party utility software).

It simply writes data to a file. You can adjust the filename and folder. The standard folder for a given file type is used by default (eg. DCIM for photos). One could think there is no point in sending application data to a file, it is in some file already, isn't it?

Wrong! A lot of palm applications store the data internally in their own format (the palm database) but use a different "external" format for exchanging data between devices. "Send to Card" enables you to export the data using this "external" format and keep them on the card.

By saving these data in files you can make backups, transfer the data to a computer or just test the data exchange without a second device acting as a receiver.

Some applications, like Palm Media or the built-in Launcher, support card files, and there is "Copy to Card" option even without my "Send To..." extension, so it does not add much functionality, except that "Send to Card" allows you to select the filename and folder instead of using the default folder all the time.

These are the steps i follow to make "Send to Card" and "Send to Application" work on a TE: Install the application; open FileZ; tap Internal; look for "Send to Card" file; check it; tap deatails; check "open" and "launchable"; uncheck "hidden"; tap save; tap the home button; look for "Send to Card" and tap it; your screen will flash; return to FileZ and check "hidden". Now you can use it for instance with Memos.

I had to check the property "Open" of the prc file with Filez to make it work on my Tungsten E. After that it worked great! Thanks for developing such a great app!
