Description:
smartInput is a new data exchange tool.
Easy data exchange for all 4 built-in databases:
- Appointments
- Addresses
- ToDos and
- Memos
Easy to use:
User A uses SyncLoader to export the records in a category (of one of the 4 built-in databases).
After HotSync user A sends the export database to user B (by email, by posting it on his website, by beaming, etc etc).
User B installs the database into his PalmOS device. All records are loaded (automatically or manually) into the appropriate built-in database (into a category of his choice).
Samples of use:
Distribution of company (or club or whatever) employees/customores contact lists.
Distribution of tasks (ToDos) and/or appointments to employees by email or on a website (a Perl API is coming in near future).
Any sharing of Datebook/Address/Todo/Memo data!
Update Description:
02/10/2003: Version 0.8.0 released. New features:
- Beaming of SyncLoader databases ("Beam" button on Import screen).
- Cleaning of categories (=deleting all records in a category) implemented (bothmanually and prior to an automated import after HotSync operations).
