Update Description:
- Full support of PalmOne's 5way navigation in menus and dialogs (PalmOne PDA with 5-way navigation support is required).
- Stronger Network error recovery logic. This resolves some rare network conditions that was sometimes disconnecting from our service without automatically reconnecting. This situation was showing the "Remote computer not found" dialog on the PDA.
- Automatically install files to Hotsync, now independent of the version of the Palm Desktop.
- Allow a manual install of the files if the PalmDesktop is not installed
- Simpler and easier to installation.

Mind you, it's freeware only for the first month, then, it becomes totally unusable unless you purchase an extension. But otherwise, I had no problems with usage.

As of 3/2005, I've installed the latest version and have had no problems controlling my windows machine. My only gripe is not figuring out easily how to control more than one PC. Other than that, I think the program is great with my Tungsten C.

It didn't even work because it would not accept cable. The desktop screen also only took up 1/4 of the are on my palm Zire 72 screen. Needs more compatibility, and I didn't even get what was going on when they asked for my dial-up number.

WOW! This is the Bomb! I've been dreaming of something like this since I got my Treo 650.... Perfect. Set it up in 10 minutes. Have logged onto my home laptop and have use it like I was sitting there in front of it. Thank you Who ever the wizard is that create this. Very Cool...

As the other reviews state, you have to restart every few seconds. When the unlock window came up, it would not accept the password. I had to do a hard shut down. It also wrecked my wireless network in my house and effected every computer in the house. Would be a great tool, just alot of bugs to wrok out.

Need absolutely to be more stable. I'm continously disconnected, I had to reload the encriptions for 3 times and the server still kepping me out. Great idea, great mind working on it but need to be a work instrument instead of a gadget to show your best friend.

Needs work. I was constantly disconnected. Needs to "remember" the password, especially if it's going to disconnect you so frequently. The "server" side needs to realize when a connection has been lost -- my desktop shows "14" connections open. Keyboard needs help, for instance "ctrl-b" doesn't work... Needs to have an "auto zoom" when a dialog opens up.. I used a program and thought it was hung up; but a yes/no dialog popped up in the center of the screen, however I didn't see it until I scrolled around on the screen. Also; it's not as fast as advertised, over wifi on local network it took a while to update screens -- either the program is really slow or dslextreme.com is busy & a bottle neck... Lastly; a hard reset was required to delete WinHand from the PDA. It's a good start. Lastly it needs to auto-launch WiFi when needed (eg: on tungsten C)
